Cleaning and waxing an indoor bronze sculpture at least once a year is recommended. Never use furniture polish or household chemicals to clean a bronze.
Cleaning your bronze sculpture:
Using a soft, clean cotton cloth, gently wipe the surface free of any dust and fingerprints. Don’t forget the deep crevices which can be reached by using a paint brush.
Very lightly brush on a thin layer of Johnson Paste Wax. Be careful not over-wax or you may damage the patina.
Wait 30 minutes until the wax has dried and then use a clean dry cloth to rub the surface until desired shine appears.
Cleaning your cold cast bronze sculpture:
Using a soft clean cloth, gently wipe away dust.
If your sculpture appears a little dull over time you may gently buff the surface using a soft clean cloth to restore the shine.
